
When discussing your work, I’ll bet you talk about what you physically do. The actions you take. The tangible outputs you create
Or you describe your expertise. What you’re good at, maybe even fairly unique.
But this is all about you. Consumers, clients, prospects aren’t interested in you. They’re in fact completely focused on themselves and their own needs.
So instead, talk about how your work creates value to your audience. The purpose of your service, product, deliverable. How it creates an outcome for them. This is what they seek.
At the end of the day, remember it’s not about you. It’s about them.
